There will be a selection trial for available youth section places at Lisnagarvey Hockey club on Wednesday 23rd September 2009, 5:45 – 7:00pm. Registration is at 5:45 sharp at club reception. Any senior school child of the appropriate age who wishes to play for Lisnagarvey Hockey Club is welcome to attend.



Youth hockey for boys is for school year 8, 9, 10 and 11 (U12, U13, U14 and U15). Youth hockey for girls is for school year 8, 9 and 10 (U12, U13 and U14). Youth training is held on a Friday evening at 6:00-7:00pm for girls and 7:00 – 8:00pm for boys.



The trial will consist of various hockey skill evaluations conducted by coaches of Lisnagarvey Hockey Club. Places will be allocated according to the space available per year group. In 2008, 1 in 4 of those who attended the trial were admitted. Results of the trial will be posted on the Lisnagarvey website on Thursday 24th September.



Please come appropriately dressed to play hockey. This includes shin guards, mouth guards and the correct footwear.



Please do not attend if you are still in primary school or are already committed to another club for the coming season.
